If you have ever had a bad upper respiratory infection that chances are you have had a doctor prescribe you Zithromax en Suisse at one point or another. Azithromycn is a common drug that is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections and is commonly know as Zithromax or a Z-pak as well. Primarily it is approved to treat infections of the lungs, ears, and skin infections while it can be used to treat others. 

What kind of drugs are macrolides?

  Zithromax belongs to a class of drugs know as macrolides and treat infections by preventing bacteria from multiplying. The antibiotic also does not break down in the blood stream as fast as other drugs. It remains in the body for an extended amount of time and helps break down bacteria that otherwise would be left. This also means that fewer dosages are needed in order to fight against the infection. 

What is Zithromax used to treat?

    Some other common infections that Azithromycn is used to treat is STDS. It has been proven to be quite effective in treating things such as Chlamydia the same way such as upper respiratory infections. The dosage for treating these infections are typically prescribed for twice a day at seven to fourteen day periods. That is usually plenty of time to fight off the infections and does not usually require any further doses. It is recommended that before taking your does to eat as Azithromycn as a tendency to cause an upset stomach. In the event that it does it is also said that antacid can be used to help with symptoms.

What are the serious side effects of azithromycin (Zithromax)?

   Zithromax for the most part is safe for use and other than a probable upset stomach does not have a high risk for adverse side effects. However there are side effects associated with this drug that can be common including nausea, dizziness, stomach upset, diarrhea. As well as some more serious side effects such as nervousness, loss of hearing and loss of taste. These side effects should be monitored and if they worsen should be followed up by a trained health professional. Also it is recommended to not take the drug on an empty stomach or operate heavy machinery if you do not know how you will react to the drug. Like every antibiotic as well it is recommend that you take the full treatment that your doctor prescribes you.

Stopping the treatment can cause your condition to worsen and not rid you completely of the infection. It is a myth that only one dose of Zithromax will cure your bacterial infection. The drug takes time to aid your body in recovery and help build an immunity to the infection. 

  Overall Azithromycn has many uses in treating infections and has been successful in treating all different types of bacterial infections in different organs. There is not a high risk of adverse effects and the drug overall is safe. As long as the patient uses Azithromycn as the health care professional provides and uses the prescription completely, then there usually is no cause for another round of the drug. With any prescription however it is critical that you are monitored by your health care professional and that you do not hesitate to do what is best for your course of treatment if you are feeling worse.
